DORSET COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP FUND

The Dorset Community Partnership Fund is a not for profit organization that is governed by a volunteer board of directors and oversees all projects conducted by the Dorset Community Partnership. All of the projects below were made possible by the amazing volunteers in our community and the generosity of our donors, both in kind and monetary. We’re very grateful to all who have contributed to make our community such a lovely place to live and visit! If you’d like to volunteer with the Dorset Community Partnership or donate towards the Dorset Community Partnership Fund, please use the “Get Involved” link at the bottom of this page to get in touch.

DORSET PAVILION AND COMMUNITY PARK

Dorset has a beautiful, new custom timber frame pavilion located on the old school property grounds in the heart of the village! This is now a park for you to enjoy, with full service washrooms coming this summer. The pavilion is also available for you to rent for that special function (wedding, family reunion, church ceremony). A nominal fee of $50 is required to reserve your day. Please contact the Township of Lake of Bays for more information on booking the pavilion.

We’re still accepting donations to assist with the installation of the washrooms. Any amount is greatly appreciated, but a special way for you to leave your mark on Dorset is to donate a “beam”, of which we only have a few left. Beams are $500 and you’ll receive a plaque in your name, or dedicate it “in memoriam”. Please contact us for more information on how you can donate.

To book the pavilion for your special event, please contact:

Muskoka chairs and a beautiful gazebo offer the a wonderful spot to perch for a while and take in the amazing view of the lake. You’ll find it by the humpback bridge, right in town, within walking distance to all shopping and restaurants.

COLEBRIDGE PARK AND CHILDREN’S PLAYGROUND

Nestled into the forrest, in the heart of the village, is Colebridge Park, a lovely children’s playground. Located between the Dorset Recreation Centre and Robinson’s General Store, it’s the perfect spot to let kids be kids!
