  • signs of a stroke (facial drooping, trouble raising both arms, slurred or jumbled speech)
  • major lacerations/bleeding, fractures, high speed injuries, falls from heights, etc.

Q: What can I use the hub for?

A: This group is offered care of:

  • minor illnesses and injuries
  • regular physicals, immunizations and cancer screening
  • chronic disease care (i.e., diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, COPD, asthma, heart disease)

  • access to other health services through the Algonquin Family Health Team and other community resources
  • telemedicine

Q: What can I use the hub for?

A: This group is offered care of:

  • minor illnesses such as fever, cough, sore throat, bladder infection and diarrhea
  • minor injuries such as minor cuts, scrapes, insect bites, falls, sprains and strains etc.

If you have a local doctor/nurse practitioner (and would like to keep them) please call them first since they know your medical history, you will receive the best care from them.

If you are unable to be seen by their office in a timely manner for a periodic illness or injury
you will be seen at the hub.

Lab services also available to this group (this could change depending on demand and staffing)
