These will be the faces you’ll see in the Dorset Health Hub:
Laurie Highfield graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2009 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. Since graduating she has been committed to the profession of nursing through her work at the hospital and in volunteer work. She has worked for the past 8 years in various areas of pediatrics, emergency/trauma, geriatrics, and primary care, caring for patients and families of all ages from infancy to adulthood with multiple illnesses and injuries. She has also volunteered with ChildCan, Society of Saint Vincent de Paul and Camp Oochigeas which provides the opportunity for children with cancer to attend camp.
Throughout her nursing career, Laurie felt the desire to have a larger role in the care of children and their families.
